Almost in every teacher training institution micro-teaching is practiced. To practice micro-teaching you will need to make a micro lesson plan for that subject. Are you searching for a model science skill of probing questions micro lesson plan? In this post, I will be sharing a model micro lesson plan for the skill of Probing in Questioning in Science to practice micro-teaching. This micro lesson plan of Science for probing in questioning is available in PDF.

The Skill of Probing Questioning in Science Micro Lesson Plan for B. Ed. Students

There are 10 major skills of micro-teaching practiced in teacher training institutions or B. Ed. colleges. The basic objective of microteaching is to make teacher education programs scientific, effective, and meaningful. In the teacher training institutions which are under Dibrugarh University, micro-teaching is practiced in the 3rd semester. This science micro plan will be very helpful for those who are pursuing B. Ed. or D. El. Ed. at Dibrugarh University.

Skill of Probing Questions in Micro Teaching Lesson Plan for Science

What is the Skill of Probing Questions or Questioning?

The skill of Probing Questioning involves going deep into a pupil’s response by asking a series of subsequent questions. It helps the pupils to give a correct and complete answer. This skill requires the teacher to put a series of questions about the answer given to the first question.

Each skill of the micro-teaching has some components. You have to include all of these components in your micro lesson plan of any subject on that particular skill. So, it is important to learn about the components of the skill of probing in questioning to make a micro lesson plan for this skill.

Components of The Skill of Probing Questioning in Micro-Teaching

There are five components of the skill of probing in question. These are –

  1. Prompting
  2. Redirecting
  3. Refocusing
  4. Seeking further information
  5. Questions aimed at critical awareness & evaluation

Remember that you have to include all of the components in your science skill of probing questions micro lesson plan or micro-teaching lesson plan on the skill of probing in questioning. Also, while performing micro-teaching you will need to perform by keeping these components in mind.

To practice micro-teaching on a particular subject you have to make a micro lesson plan for that subject. The format of the micro lesson plan varies depending on the skill of micro-teaching. Since making a micro lesson plan isn’t very easy. So in this post, you will learn how to make a micro lesson plan for the skill of probing questions or questioning in Science.

2. Alright, from where does rain come from? (The teacher will provide this question as a clue or hint which helps the pupil to respond.)

3. What do you mean by physical change?

4. Name some natural places from where water evaporates to the atmosphere. (ask another pupil)

5. How clouds are formed in the sky?
6. Is it possible that some water that evaporates from the earth can come back to earth?

7. What are the physical states which water can exist?

8. What will happen if there are no clouds?
– No response

– From the clouds.
– Physical changes mean the changes in shape and size of a substance.
